Food at Pre-Prep

Pupils eatingSmall people need regular refuelling to make it through a busy day, so we make eating fun and sociable, as well as yummy and nutritious.

Our children all bring in healthy snacks from home, so there's something to look forward to in every break. Our catering team are masters of old favourites such as sausages, pasta, fish fingers and roasts, as well as salads, curries, fruit and lots more, so lunch is eagerly anticipated too.

To ensure that nobody gets bored, they prepare three sets of weekly menus that rotate throughout the term.

Staff and children eat together. EYFS (Reception and Kindergarten) have an earlier lunch and then it is time for KS1 (Years 1 and 2) to eat a little later.

Our school is a nut-free zone and it’s possible to meet most dietary requirements.

Food at junior school

Junior School canteenEveryone enjoys mealtimes and it’s not unusual to hear Happy Birthday being sung by a group at lunch. Old favourites such as sausages, roasts and pizza are on the menu alongside healthy stir-fries, curries and lots of salads.

Lunch is cooked on site and served by our own catering staff. There’s always a hot main course and one for vegetarians, followed by a different pudding every day.

Early birds go to the hall for breakfast before school starts, while those who spend longer than an hour in late stay have a teatime snack of sandwiches and fresh fruit.

Breaks

At morning break, members of Year 6 sell fresh fruit, fruit juice, milk and water from the tuck shop trolley at the playground door, although children may bring a snack from home if they prefer.

Our school is a nut-free zone and it’s possible to meet most dietary requirements.

food at senior school
Senior pupil in canteenSchool food needn’t be yuk or blah. We want everyone to enjoy mealtimes, so old favourites such as sausages, roasts and pizza are on the menu alongside stir fries, curries and lots more.

There’s always a hot main course and one for vegetarians. In our Senior School there’s also a salad bar and a different pudding every day, plus fruit and yoghurt. Early birds can get breakfast before school starts and there are snacks for anyone who stays late.

And because we know how annoying it is to be given the same meal twice in a day, you can find our weekly menus below, so parents can plan ahead too.
