Getting outside the classroom helps to enhance learning and builds an understanding of the wider world.
They have included Kindergarten visits to Boydell’s Farm and Audley End Railway and Reception’s visit to Anglesey Abbey and Bridge End Gardens.
For these trips to go ahead we often need parent volunteers to come along with us to ensure we have the required adult:child ratio. If you are able to accompany us on trips out of the classroom please let us know so that we can contact you when needed.
From time to time children at Dame B’s take part in collaborative events with their peers from the three Pre-Prep schools within the Stephen Perse Foundation.
These days are held at Dame B's, or in our Pre-Prep Schools in Madingley or Cambridge.
Our collaboration days are always lots of fun. Kindergarten have enjoyed a Teddy Bears' Picnic and Reception have taken part in Diwali and Sikhism days as well as a number walk.
The content of these days develops specific areas of learning, but also provides excellent opportunities for children to develop their communication and personal, social and emotional skills - as they form new friendships which will continue throughout Pre-Prep and beyond.
