With six schools in and around Cambridge, we have developed a collaborative approach to leadership. Each Head leads their own school, whilst also engaging with colleagues to be leaders across the Foundation.
I began my teaching career in Buckinghamshire before joining the Stephen Perse Foundation (then The Perse School for Girls) in 1994. A ‘career break’ in order to bring up a family gave me the opportunity to write, examine, tutor and work part-time for the BBC, primarily on their Bitesize and Digital Curriculum projects. A brief spell at St John’s College School and St Mary’s, Cambridge followed, before a return to the Foundation after a ten-year gap.
I have experience as both a pastoral and academic leader and currently have responsibility for staff and direct the curriculum and the timetable. I have recently joined the ISI inspection team but still find time to teach Mathematics in the Senior School and Sixth Form. When I’m not working I love to run.
