4 years old and with an iPad you can do this

iPads are an integral part of teaching and learning in Reception at the City Pre-Prep.
From taking photos of work they are proud of and using the camera to record different stages of their own learning journeys, to experimenting with coding apps and creating entire films from scratch- our reception children definitely have their fingers on the button! These videos are just a small example of how the children use the iPads independently everyday to enhance their learning.

After reading 'The Paper-bag Princess' the children decided they wanted to make their own film version of the story. They each drew one of the main characters using pastels and used the iPads to take photos of their work. They then used puppet pals to bring their characters to life. The children had to select their own backdrops, write their own scripts and manipulate all the characters by themselves. When they watched the finished film back with their parents on open day, one child said "we made it all by ourselves... And we're only 4 years old- we are so clever!"
