Small group tuition is defined as one educator working with a class of two to six students. This small class size enables the teacher to work with each pupil closely, concentrating on their individual educational needs. There are many positive outcomes to learning in a small group environment. This is because it is easier for teachers to monitor students’ progress and enables them to give individual attention to each student.
Teaching styles have changed significantly over the years. The traditional way that education was delivered was through recitation and memorisation techniques, whereas the modern way of doing things involves interactive methods.

Deciding to study abroad is a big decision. Whether you are thinking of taking part of your degree overseas or all of it, there are many factors to consider. For students drawn towards taking degree courses outside the UK one of the main attractions is that tuition fees can be much lower than in the United Kingdom. Other bonuses are that it will look great on your CV and increase your international job prospects, you could learn a new language and of course gain valuable life experiences.

It’s that time of year again… exams are quickly approaching and you need to do some serious revision. It is not always easy getting motivated to revise, what with so many distractions, but now is the time to take the initiative and get ahead of the game!
Attending the IB Visual Arts exhibition at the end of last week and the West Road concerto concert this week, I was keenly aware that I teach in a remarkable school. It may be an extreme thought but I confess that I find myself musing whether there is actually any point to studying subjects other than the creative and performing arts!

What exactly are life skills? We define them as the essential skills that you will need to meet the challenges in everyday life. These skills are used to help you to manage situations better, accomplish ambitions and to live your life to its full potential. They are the defined by the ability to foster adaptive, positive behaviours that will help you to handle problems, communicate effectively with others, and deal with stresses and frustration. These skills are not always taught, but often learnt indirectly through everyday experiences and practices.
