Steve S in the running for International Physics Olympiad place

Published on 05/03/18

Lower 6th Form student Steve S finished in the top 15 competitors in the British Physics Olympiad (BPhO) and now is in with a chance of being selected to represent the British team at the International Physics Olympiad in Portugal (IPhO).

The challenge is an exciting opportunity for students to stretch their lateral thinking skills and apply fundamental physical principles to novel situations in a one hour exam paper. Through Steve's excellent performance, he has been invited to attend the Oxford Training Camp in the April, where the British team to compete at the IPhO will be selected.

"A fantastic achievement, the highest achieved by a SPF Physics student in my time here"  Mr Hudson, Physics teacher

Congratulations go to Steve! We all wish him good luck in the next stage of his Olympiad journey.
