Geography students debate the impact of climate change

Published on 30/05/19

On 15 May the lower sixth A Level and IB Geographers attended a 'Student Meet' at The Perse School.

Students and teachers from a number of different schools presented a mini-lecture on a subject of their own choice. Particular congratulations must go to Madeleine S and Charlotte W who gave an incredibly detailed yet clear breakdown of the impacts of climate change on Bangladesh, noting that whilst Bangladesh's physical geography certainly doesn't help, the impact of humans make the problems worse in a number of ways. Students left with a number of detailed case studies that may be useful to them in future exams and, more importantly, an excellent experience.
