Brilliant Bread Biology

In our last biology lesson, we were investigating bread mould and what it looked like.

After watching a short presentation, we had to find the best conditions for bread mould to grow. We cut up the bread into equal parts and placed them in plastic bags. We could add either water, sugar or salt to one of the samples. To work out the best conditions we could expose some of the samples to light, keep them in the dark or heat them up a little. Once we had decided where to keep our bread and which one of the three extra ingredients we wanted to add, we created presentations and posters. My presentation contained photos of our samples and facts we had learned.
