The United Nations and what they are.

The United Nations and what they are.

The United Nations were created in 1945 and are also known as the UN. They were created to help stop wars from happening and for countries to get along.

They help stop wars and conflicts by trying to make peace. There are 193 members and they make decisions by voting and they have a head secretary too. Each country has 1 vote and the person that votes is the delegate that the country has sent to talk on behalf of their country.

What this symbol is

This symbol is the symbol Of the United Nations SDGS (sustainable development goals) and It represents all 17 of the Sustainable development goals so everyone has what they need to live a good life.

What I will do to work towards SDG 16

I will get into less arguments with my sister and any others, also if someone fights someone else I will try to break it up or stop them.

Peace justice and strong institutions

SDG 16 is peace justice and strong institutions, it is about how the world needs to live in peace and justice because then no wars will happen, also there needs to be justice because without justice peace can’t happen, without justice, people would be on the loose robbing and shooting and they would get away with it.

The SDGS

The sustainable development goals, also known as the SDGS are here to make the world a better place. The SDGS are goals that we have to try and achieve by 2030. There are 17 goals and everyone has to work together if we want to achieve them.

How what we are learning about is linked to SDG 16

Our learning is linked to SDG 16 because conflict is the exact opposite of it. We have been learning about wars and how we need to stop them by listening to SDG 16. One of the wars we have been learning about is the Syrian civil war and how much refugees have had to evacuate.
