At the end of September our Year 2 pupils enjoyed a trip to Wandlebury Country Park.
Cyclocross is a mix of athletic endeavours, combining riding and running over a mixed course which could include tarmac, mud, sand, steps and barriers. Races typically last between 30 mins and one hour and the course is set out in laps.
Finally after a long two-year wait, Year 5 pupils were able to meet up again in person for a Collaboration Day.
Dame Bradbury’s had a very special visitor on Friday 8 October, BMX Olympic gold medallist at Tokyo 2020, Beth Shriever.
The Year 6 collaboration started with Mr Gildea’s inspiring talk of his yachting trip around the world. He amazed the pupils with his tales of how to cook and live on a boat when the seas were tumultuous. He also shared with us some incredible photos of his travels, including from the top of mountains, of coral reefs and of glaciers. Many of his slides captured very graphically how the delicate balance of our planet was being harmed by our actions living on it.
