Our recent performance of Lewis Carroll’s much-loved tale of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, adapted by director Mrs Deborah Foote, was a tremendous success!
On Thursday 6 June 30 students from Years 7-10 attended a trip to Kettle’s Yard Gallery, Cambridge to see the work of Turner Prize Nominated Artist Oscar Murillo and his exhibition ‘Violent Amnesia’.

Year 1 and Year 2 put on a fantastic concert entitled 'Off We Go''. Every child played a percussion instrument whether it be the cabasca, claves or chimes bars. They learnt to closely follow signals and even sing and play at the same time.
Year 6 were very excited about the prospect of having a picnic on the Common, enjoying some games together and then wandering down to Hart’s, our local bookshop, to choose their leavers’ books. Then it rained and it rained and it rained!
Six Year 8 students took part in a STEM project day at the Babraham Institute, organised by the Cambridge LaunchPad.
Upper Sixth student Leo has been chosen to exhibit at the first ever Young Artists’ Summer Show at the Royal Academy of Arts. This achievement is even more impressive as his artwork was one of only 139 artworks chosen out of over 6,200 artworks submitted.
On 2 June six students from Year 7 were invited to Cambridge Consultants for a full day of STEM related activities.
Senior School pupil Poppy currently holds first place for batting averages for the U15G Lady Taverners Club Cricket Competition.
Year 2 have been getting creative with their use of words.
Pre-prep pupils were joined by Kindergarten on Monday 3 June to launch their new theme for this term - ‘Off We Go’.
On 22 May, Year 5 pupils and accompanying staff set off for Sheringham and a three-day residential adventure at Hilltop Outdoor Centre.
Having been involved in Frequencies, a long term project devised by Colombian born artist Oscar Murillo, Year 5 pupils were excited about going to Kettle’s Yard to see an exhibition of Murillo’s own work.
Earlier this term we invited the NSPCC to our Pre-Prep and Junior School to deliver their ‘Speak out, stay safe’ programme, which included an assembly giving pupils the knowledge and understanding they need to stay safe from abuse and neglect. The NSPCC teach children to speak out if they are worried, either to a trusted adult or to Childline.
