Our excellent boarding house is designed specially for Years 11-13 (1-year IGCSE and A Level) students.

You’ll enjoy a spacious student room (twin rooms for IGCSE, single for A Level), lots of shared social and study spaces, private gardens, delicious food and supportive staff. You’ll also live in a great location, close to Cambridge city centre and railway station and just a short walk or cycle from our teaching buildings.

Our accommodation is regularly inspected and we have been officially commended for our food and boarding staff, as well as for the ways in which we safeguard and promote our students’ welfare, encouraging them to respect the values and beliefs of others.

Student rooms

Student bedroom

All student rooms in our boarding house are generously proportioned, most with ensuite facilities. There’s plenty of space for you to work and relax in the evenings and at weekends. Bring personal items with you to make your room feel like home - we want you to feel comfortable and motivated while you’re studying with us.

Food and dining

Our boarding house has its own dining room, so you can share wholesome, delicious meals with your friends before and after classes.

We work hard to ensure our food is balanced and nutritious, so you’ve got all the energy you need to make the most of every day. There’s plenty of choice, and we cater for most special dietary needs, from vegetarian to Halal.

Breakfast and evening meals are served during the week, with lunch served at the Senior School and Sixth Form. At weekends, you’ll be able to eat breakfast, lunch and evening meals in the boarding dining room. At other times, you’ll be able to make snacks in your boarding common room.

Social spaces

You’ll find a well-equipped common room in your boarding house, providing a great space for you and your fellow boarders to socialise and relax. You’ll find a digital TV and DVD/Blu-ray player, lots of comfy seating, and facilities for making tea, coffee and snacks.

Our boarding house has a private garden, so you can get some peace and quiet in nature when you need it. There are also beautiful Cambridge parks and green spaces right on your doorstep - just a short walk away you’ll find relaxing spots to read and bigger parks that are perfect for sports.

Study support

On weekday evenings, our boarders benefit from teacher-supervised study sessions in their boarding house. This means that you’ll be able to get your assignments, coursework and revision done in a productive and motivating space, alongside fellow students, with a teacher’s help when you need it. After study sessions, you’re free to relax - so you’re fresh and ready for the next day.
