Dame B's Cross Country teams (Y3 boys, Y5 girls, Y6 boys & girls) took part in the Uttlesford District finals having qualified from the Saffron Walden Schools competition two weeks ago. There were some excellent team and individual performances by the boys and girls in what were fiercely contested races. With close to 100 runners in each year group race, there were stand out performances from many of our runners but most notably Ben Inglis (2nd) and Daisy Whooley (3rd) who gained medals for their efforts.
Congratulations to Daisy Whooley who recently won both the U9 and U10 girls club champs tournament at David Lloyd, Cambridge. As a result of her success at the club championships, Daisy went on to represent the club at the regional finals in Enfield last weekend. She will now go on to represent Cambridge in the David Lloyd national finals on December 4th at Raynes Park. Good luck Daisy.

A closely contested game with some excellent rugby from both sides saw Dame B's win by the narrowest of margins. Dame B's played with pace and produced an excellent display of good handling and direct running to score some good tries. The visitors battled hard throughout and also scored some excellent tries thanks to the pace in their attacking play. It was great to see the Year 6 boys working with the Year 5 players to show them that passing and supporting is a good option within a game situation. This allowed for some lovely fluent rugby to be played. Well played boys.
Cross country runners from years 3-6 took part in the Saffron Walden Schools Cross Country competition in chilly conditions. With teams from all of the local schools in attendance, Dame B's runners did excellently. Today's race was a team event, with the top 4 runners from each school making up the team total which then determined overall standings. There were some outstanding individual and team scores and all of the runners should be proud of their efforts.
