Across our schools, we have developed a collaborative approach to leadership. Each Head leads their own school, whilst also engaging with colleagues to be leaders for the whole Foundation.

Head of Dame Bradbury's

Louise Graham

“Knowing each pupil as an individual is of fundamental importance if we are to enable them to contribute positively and thrive within the Foundation and, more widely, in their communities and the world in which we live.”

As I enter my eighteenth year at Dame Bradbury's, I am delighted to be taking up the headship of this school which I know very well and about which I feel passionately. Having been increasingly involved at a leadership level in the changes that the school has witnessed over the past few years, I am keen to build from my previous roles, first as SENCO and more recently in the roles of both Assistant Head and Deputy. I have thoroughly enjoyed being a form teacher in Year 6 for the past seven years too, and will miss that aspect of school life, though I continue to partake in some teaching at the top end of the school. It will be exciting to work with Tracy Handford as VP and alongside David Hewlett in his role as Head at Rosedale House, collaborating closely in many areas but also maintaining the individuality of our respective schools on their quite different sites.

Having a balance in life is all-important. When I have time to myself I am likely to be found outdoors running or on my bike, reading or gardening; or enjoying a glass of something refreshing with my husband and two daughters!

Our Foundation is a vibrant, dynamic place to work
