Across our schools, we have developed a collaborative approach to leadership. Each Head leads their own school, whilst also engaging with colleagues to be leaders for the whole Foundation.
Heidi Hall is the Charitable Foundation Director for the Stephen Perse Foundation, appointed in March 2020 to launch a new Charitable Foundation Office. Heidi joined Stephen Perse having completed a four year tenure as Director of Central School of Ballet in London. Heidi led Central's successful Capital Campaign raising £10m to move the school to new premises in London’s South Bank Arts Community. Through Heidi’s leadership Central’s new building was opened in February 2020 by Central’s Royal Patron, HRH The Countess of Wessex and named in her honour. By working closely with the senior leadership team at the London Borough of Southwark Heidi implemented a strategy to create an inclusive cultural community programme aimed at enhancing engagement between Higher Education Programmes and the Arts.
Heidi had an extensive and successful performance career as a performer and then as a leader in arts-focused Higher Education. On retiring from the stage her career in Senior Arts Management has covered development, fundraising and creative projects including working for the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain and the BBC Proms at the Royal Albert Hall. Heidi is a renowned influencer and a committed advocate for those excluded from participation in Arts, Culture and Education. In 2018 Heidi was recognised for her successful leadership by the annual Third Sector Awards, winning the Rising Chief Executive Award. Heidi was appointed to the Board of Governors at Central School of Ballet in April 2020 in recognition of her success and commitment. She is a Trustee of Ballet Black and a member of the Board at Eden Court Theatre in Inverness. Heidi sits on the advisory Board for Kerry Nicholls Dance and works closely with Cambridge 2030, the organisation that spearheads collaborative action for equality in the city.
Heidi is committed and passionate about creating equal educational opportunities for young people and is excited to work closely with everyone across the Foundation and in our wider community to continue the legacy of Dr Stephen Perse, in delivering his charitable ethos and belief in creating transformational outcomes for young people.
