Across our schools, we have developed a collaborative approach to leadership. Each Head leads their own school, whilst also engaging with colleagues to be leaders for the whole Foundation. 

Chief Financial Officer

Hayley Richardson

Hayley joins the Stephen Perse Foundation directly from her role as Capital Projects Director and Project Finance Director at St Paul’s School.

Hayley, born and educated in South Africa, joined St Paul’s in 2011 as Finance Director. During her tenure she led and managed the Finance office and successfully delivered a £111m Building Master Plan including: a new Science Building, a Drama Centre and the phased replacement of their General Teaching Building, as well as numerous smaller scale projects, including residential.

Previous to this Hayley worked at the Grammar School at Leeds in a number of roles, including Project Manager and Accountant, Director of Operations and Clerk to the Governors. She has broad commercial experience, including working for Norwich Union, and she qualified in accountancy in South Africa, having worked for Deloitte.

Hayley has a proven track record of successful leadership and management of Finance and Operations functions in outstanding independent schools. Of equal importance, she also exemplifies and holds to the values of the Stephen Perse Foundation: excellence and supporting creativity in teaching and learning; encouraging and modelling integrity as well as personal and social responsibility; transforming learning by creating a dynamic environment and connecting to a world of opportunity, through a global outlook.
