Across our schools, we have developed a collaborative approach to leadership. Each Head leads their own school, whilst also engaging with colleagues to be leaders for the whole Foundation.
Dr Andrew Kemp
My teaching career has been broad and exciting. I have worked across single-sex and co-ed; day schools and boarding schools; secondary, further and adult education. Across my career I’ve held many roles and responsibilities having previously been Head of Senior School, Vice Principal, Senior Deputy Head, Director of Studies, Director of Digital Strategy, Timetabler, Head of Mathematics and Head of Houses, Clubs and Societies, as well as continuing to be a classroom teacher of mathematics and/or computing. Each of these roles and schools have brought their own challenges, and taught me much about what makes an excellent education.
I am deeply passionate about education being about the individual, and not assuming that every young person should experience school in the same way. We are each unique, and we should celebrate and embrace that uniqueness.
Outside of the Senior School, I enjoy exploring the role that technology can play in the future of education. During my teaching career I’ve taken this interest and applied it to my own personal studies completing my MSc in Mathematics Education in 2008, and my Doctorate in Education in 2013. More recently I completed my MBA at UCL. Alongside my work in education, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, and engaging with the arts.
